Jeffrey Deal Allen grew up on the shores of lake Michigan making films in the woods behind his house with friends from the neighborhood. A lifelong passion for creating stories was born. He attended Michigan State University and graduated a proud spartan with a degree in Telecommunications, Information and Media Studies, Specialization in English & Film Studies.
Jeff began his career as an intern at Discovery Studios in Bethesda, MD, gaining experience from the network perspective and working heavily in editorial, story arc and narration. He left Discovery to produce as a freelancer in Washington, DC, where his clients expanded to international productions and organizations such as the United States Department of State, World Bank, Inter-American Development Bank, and television networks MSNBC, TLC, Animal Planet, and always coming back to his roots on many travel and survival shows for Discovery. In 2010 he moved to Brooklyn, NY where his body of work and resources expanded, including National Geographic & Nat Geo Wild, , Travel Channel, CNN, Esquire, Showtime , PBS, WORLD Channel, and a host of Non-Profit Organizations.
